The origins of Lunetta Appraisal Company date back to 1966, when Jim began work at the Ventura County Assessor’s Office as an Assistant Appraiser. After a ten year stint, during which he appraised over a thousand parcels and rose to the level of Senior Appraiser, he left the Assessor’s Office to begin his career as an independent fee appraiser. He did so after earning the prestigious MAI designation from the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers (now the Appraisal Institute). As an independent appraiser, Jim has done work for numerous local clients, including banks and other financial institutions, government entities, developers, attorneys, and other individuals.

Jim lives locally in Ventura and enjoys classic movies, authentic Italian food, LA Angels baseball, and spending time with his grandsons.

Bradley J. Lunetta, MAI

In 1995, after graduating from UCSB, Brad joined his father in the appraisal business. The next few years were spent taking real estate appraisal courses, attaining a Trainee License, and learning the ins and outs of commercial real estate appraisal. After earning his State of California Certified General Appraisal License in 2001, Brad partnered with Jim to form Lunetta Appraisal Company. He earned his MAI in 2016.

Brad lives in Ventura with his wife Jessica and sons Holden, Palmer and Dalton. He enjoys camping, following the LA Angels (and discussing the team with Jim), video games (when he gets a turn on the Xbox), reading, and spending time with his family.

Between them, Jim and Brad have over 60 years of appraisal experience. Their cumulative knowledge and educational backgrounds enable them to provide quality appraisals to their clients.
